Brooks552 Posted December 14, 2009 Share Posted December 14, 2009 I've created a number of new client fields (using similar methods to the Adding Custom Field to Customer Details contribution, but I've now run into a problem that I don't seem able to find a solution to...I can't get the data into any order placed by a customer. Effetively what I have is a number of new fields which write to new columns in the CUSTOMERS table via create account and the details can be edited by a number of pages(account edit, checkout shipping and checkoutout payment etc) - new columns follow the existing naming convention i.e. customer_xxx , despite all my best efforts and hours searching various forums and hacking other contributions, I can't get the new data to add to a customer order and therefore become accessible to the invoice and packing slip - in an attempt to achieve this I duplicated the new columns into the ORDERS table in the db but still not luck. If anyone out there can point me in the right direction or give me some advise on how I can get the new data from the CUSTOMER table into the ORDER table it would be much appreciated.
