Guest
Hi all, I have an e-commerce site built with osCommerce and I've been running it for quite some time. I display Google advertisements in a box on the right hand side of all product listings. Alas, the relevance of the adverts is really bad. Most of the ads have to do with e-commerce suppliers and French weather forecasts (just because the name of the site happens to contain the word for "wind" if you happen to be French. Some of the adverts do have something to do with what I sell but only in the most general sense. Adverts on product listing pages are no less general than on principal pages, which means that they tend to be totally irrelevant to that particular product. I sell musical instruments but if the customer is looking at the product description of a saxophone it seems sensible to me that the ads should be focused on saxophones, not harps and domain name registrars. This is of no use to the customer, me or Google. What am I doing wrong and how can I correct it? Any ideas? It seems that no-one else has this problem... With thanks
