Various Problems

Hi all,

First let me apologise in advance if I ask questions that seem obvious but I don’t find the forums very user friendly for me so I might as well ask than get frustrated searching for the answer. I have some issues with Oscom that are really bugging me.

 

I am trying to change my zone from Florida to UK but when I go to the config area and try to edit it I only have the choice of None or Florida in the drop down menu and I can’t find anything else that could change it for me.

 

I altered the currency to GB£ but when I enter the price in my product listing and then check to see if it works I find that it does not display any amounts, just the pound symbol and noughts for example £30.00 comes up as £0.00

 

What is particularly frustrating is that I am very confused about Oscom and my website. I originally thought that it would be simple and that it work something like this:

I change my web host provider – which I did – from Freeola to Pickaweb – and then I transfer my domain from my old host to the new one – which I did and then I would use the site builder and just install Oscom and I would be away!! But, it didn’t work out that way and has left me very confused

What I am trying to say is do I actually need to have a website with Pickaweb or can oscom do all of that for me and I just use Pickaweb as my host? And where do I assign my domain name? Do I put it so that when people google me that it takes them to my shop on Oscom or do I make it that it finds my website and then I create links from the website to my shop? Very confusing!

 

I will save any other questions for a different post as this one is way too long as it is.
