Guest Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I already have one site running fine, so decided to open another. Started working on it today, setup the same as my first shop. Put 1 product on and noticed the online catalogue price didnt include vat despite setting it up to do this. Decided to run a dummy purchase to see if this corrected itself on checkout. Not only did it not add the tax later, it would not go beyond the 'Delivery Information' page to 'Payment Information' etc. Has anyone got a clue what has happened, Im stumped. :(

Guest Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Are the tax zones set up correctly and products are assigned to a tax zone? Steve Hi, yes they are set up exactly the same as my original site. You can take a look at the 2 sites to see if anything strikes you. the first is http://ironmongeryshoponline.co.uk and the new site is http://door-handles-knobs.co.uk which, as you will see has barely been started.

Nothing seems to strike out at me as being odd, you could use first one on second and remove all inserts in sql for all tables with product and categories in table name See if that works Steve

The only product on door-handle... site shows up as £32.75 when it should be £38.48 after tax. Did you get any further than the Delivery Information page when you tried a dummy order? Ive just tried again and got stuck on that same page again. All the tables in catalog, shipping, localizations etc are identical apart from a different store name.
Guest Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Problem sorted, I am now a happy bunny again :D
joeyoyo Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Can I ask what you did to remedy the problem as I seem to have a similar issue: In Tax Zones I have one zone, called United Kingdom, and in description it says VAT In Tax Classes I have one class, called taxable goods In Tax Rates I have one rate priority 1, taxable goods, United Kingdom, tax rate 17.5% description VAT IN Configuration My Store, it is set to "Display prices with tax True" Tax decimal points is set to 2 When I set up a product in my catalog if I type a product price into the Products Price (Net) box - it puts say £10.00 and automatically fills in £11.75 in the Products Price (Gross) box However the price that displays is the £10.00 Net price rather than the 11.75 gross price. Am I missing something obvious?

Am I missing something obvious? i have a similar problem. i have the same configuration but some times the Vat does not appear. to give you more information, i own 3 computers that share the same internet connection. on two of them, vat appears correctly, but on the last one it does not.
