Specials listed like bestsellers list?

Hi,

 

I would like to display a selection of my special offers in a list in column right (just like the best sellers list is displayed)

 

I have tried to "hack" the code from the bestsellers box to get it to display a list of specials but to no avail,

 

Am I on the wrong tracks - or is it just my coding/idea not right,

 

I am no PHP'er but have managed to mod code in the past to some sucsess - just not sure if this time im on the right tracks.

 

I have looked around but can not find any example of where this has been done before,

 

if anyone is able to point me to any referance or contribs that would equally be a great help,

However I already have the scrolling specials contrib installed.

 

What I want to acheive is to display the specials in a list in the smae way that the best sellers get displayed,

 

ie

 

SPECIALS

----------------

 

Cream Cakes

now only £0.99

 

Ice Cream

now only £1.99

 

Wafers

now only £2.99

 

Cola

 

now only £3.99

 

-----------------

 

 

any ideas?
