OilyPablo
Thanks - so what should we put in the AIM "cURL Program Location" ? "The location to the cURL program application." Currently it (default in AIM)says: "/usr/bin/curl"
Jack_mcs
Unless you have an old version of the module, it is not needed. OilyPablo
Should I just delete the "/usr/bin/curl" ?
Jack_mcs
If curl is installed on your server, that setting is not needed and you can delete it if you want. If curl isn't installed, that setting is supposed to be the path to where it can be found. But if it isn't installed, it probably won't be found. You should check with your host to be sure curl is installed. If they say it is, which is common nowadays, then don't worry about that setting. OilyPablo
Well I deleted "/usr/bin/curl" and it still doesn't work. How the heck can I get this Authorize.net AIM module to work....cripes Authorize.net is billing us monthly and the thing isn't working!!! Jack_mcs
Hmm, so you are saying it is broke. Not a lot to go on. Try mentioning your shops version, what problem you are having, your authorize.net module settings (except the login info) and maybe someone can start to help. Try mentioning your shops version, what problem you are having, your authorize.net module settings (except the login info) and maybe someone can start to help. Let me back up the train. I've been reading threads here for a few weeks getting nowhere - so glad you are willing to help. We use Online Merchant V2.2 RC2. Sick Bike Parts (our site) The problem: All we ever get in the authorize.net AIM module when anyone tries a card is: "There has been an error processing your credit card Please try again and if problems persist, please try another payment method." We tried everything we could figure out (which isn't much!!). No can do. Stuck. We have been using Paypal module with success but some people with credit cards don't want to use Paypal, so we added authorize.net, signed up with them, paying their fees, we have our merchant bank set up and have given authorize.net the merchant bank the MID and TID numbers. Authorize.net ran a charge through from their point forward and it went fine according to them. So that points back to our oscommerce settings: MD5 Hash The MD5 hash value to verify transactions with BLANK Transaction Server Perform transactions on the live or test server. The test server should only be used by developers with Authorize.net test accounts. LIVE Live LIVE Test Transaction Mode Transaction mode used for processing orders Live LIVE Test Transaction Method The processing method to use for each transaction. Authorization Capture Payment Zone If a zone is selected, only enable this payment method for that zone. NONE Set Order Status Set the status of orders made with this payment module to this value PENDING Sort order of display. Sort order of display. Lowest is displayed first. 0 cURL Program Location The location to the cURL program application. BLANK
Jack_mcs
If you have the mode set to test and it fails that way, it almost definately is your login details. You should recreate the transaction key and be sure to change it in the settings. OilyPablo
We have not tried it in the test mode. I have reset the transaction key several times, no help. My partner is trying "MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_TEXT_ADMIN_TITLE" to see if that helps.
Jack_mcs
That's the way I read the settings you posted so I'm not clear now what they are. But they modes should be set to live. Also be sure to set the sort order to some unique number. Some modules don't play well with others when the sort orders are all the same. Jack_mcs
I suggest you do the following: - go into your authorize.net account and regenerate the key - go into admin->modules->payment, select the module and click on Remove. - go into admin->modules->payment, select the module and click on Install, then Edit. - setup the module. Be sure to set both modes to Live, enter the transaction key you just create, as well as your login ID and set the sort order to a unique number. - test it. OilyPablo
OK will try. I had just tried ""MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_TEXT_ADMIN_TITLE" and got this: "This transaction cannot be accepted. - MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_TEXT_DECLINED_MESSAGE"

Jack_mcs
Then, I'm sorry, but this isn't something that can be fixed here, at least by me. The module works fine so unless you have some corrupted code, there is either a problem on your server or with your authorize.net account. You need to isolate those by running it from a different server and/or using a different authroize.net account. That is not something a typical shop can do so you've reached a dead end, it seems. OilyPablo
Well we got it working. #1 rule was to completely not use the stock module. We installed " Authorize.net AIM Module" NOT ""Authorize.net Credit Card AIM" Works like a champ now. This MAY be why so many people get the same error.
