Thanks but I already have and not what he wanted. What I'm looking to make an automatic catalog with all products in txt format or excel in writing and not on-line store that is in the oscommerce.

Forgive me but it's not clear what you need exactly....you mean you already have an oscommerce store and want a list of products in excel format? If so, there is a contribution here.

If again I got it wrong, apologies :(

I downloaded the files and uploaded to the server but I do not understand how to generate the excel file. I went to mysite.com / excel / excel_catalog.php and mysite.com / excel / excel_config.php and I get errors like this:

Warning: mysql_connect () [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'root' @ 'localhost' (using password: NO) in / home/d460693/public_html/excel/excel_config.php on line 8

Sorry, already ettings file "excel_config.php" and I do not get errors but when running "excel_catalog.php" and download on file "your_list_name.xls" I blank out and I'm not usually the list of items. I've given permissions to 777 for xls allow writing and neither works.

I don't use this contribution myself and therefore haven't tried it.

I have downloaded it though and the instructions aren't very detailed but from what I can see it's just a matter of editing correctly the excel_config.php file.

Now, looking at this contribution, I would try putting this excel folder in a password protected area of your store and test it to see if the script runs, or rename the excel folder to something else only you know, the same way we do for admin.

My problem is the excel_config.php file has your db name, username and pw in it which should be protected.

Perhaps a coder could make it better security wise?
