Migrating from one server to another

I recently came across osCommerce and it looks like a great product. I'm going to try using it to redo my online store. I want to set it all up locally on my server at home so I don't mess with my current online operations. My question is: If I set this up on a server at home, how easy/difficult will it be to push everything to my webhost? Is it trivial or fairly straight forward?

Currently, I design everything in Dreamweaver and I use Paypal for checkout but I need something that integrates a DB easily and is flexible which it looks like osCommerce will fit that bill.

Thanks.

easy, if you know the difference between your "local server at home" and a live server, not much difference but then it depends on how you set it up assuming you know about it. i use the words local server on my pc, since a server at home could be a live server if you know how to set it up.

So, to clarify, I'm going to set this up on my local Vista64 pc, installing MySql and PHP. My webhost uses Linux so once the site is done on my local machine, I will need to push everything to the remote machine. I'm just wondering how difficult this task might be.
