I'm using Inmotion hosting, I installed osCommerce from cpanel and it looks like it's working til I try to do any check out buy now or any second level stuff and then I get 404 errors saying the file is not on the server yet I see the files it's complaining about on the server in the osCommerce directory?

Any help much appreciated, Confused.

generally not a good idea to install osc from cPanel or something similar since chances are the osc version there is out of date and you know less what it did in the installation. wipe out the install and re-install manually by downloading a new version osc rc2a and ftp to server then follow the instructions.

Thanks! Ken

Will give it a try! I may be back, I'm not feelin very comfortable with this whole eCommerce finding lots of links with files to download

but very little instruction on how to tie them together. Trying to setup a Subscription type store with recurring billing and I need to be able to flag customers that aren't paid up in a database other than osc1 database.

Thanks Again for the advice.

Thanks again Ken no more 404 errors. Now if I could be sure I have it configured correctly. Don't know how to setup recurring billing.

If anyone has a good How-To on this would appreciate the help. I have a condition where there is a one time setup fee then a low monthly subscription fee that I'm not quite sure how to handle. And how to interface with PayPal Website Payment Pro.

osC is definately not setup or structured for handling recurring billing.

You can try search through the Add-ons section. I haven't noticed anything pertaining to that, but then again I never look specifically for it either.

You might have better luck using an accounting software (such as Quickbooks) and integrating the two.

Just a thought!
