nolan1123 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 When i list my products I notice that the Product Description is just one BIG paragraph with no line breaks like I inserted it. My question is, Is there a fix for this? How do I fix this? I want my products descriptions easier to read. Thanks Bruce
Guest Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Bruce, Use HTML tags to format the paragraph. Chris
jhande Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Hey Bruce, This is an old and very well discussed subject. Two ways to go about a fix: 1) Use HTML code formating. 2) Use a WYSIWYG editor such as FCKeditor. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -

You will also need the Add-on (contribution) to intergrate it with osC. All In One FCK Editor WYSIWYG Editor (sounds like the complete package) FCKeditor for Product Descriptions (I think this is the one I tried) In all honesty, I didn't like how it formatted the display. Maybe I just didn't set it up right, but I prefer inserting the HTML code myself. I would have to say yes, add the HTML tags into the description field when working with Excel. I used to export and import my database using phpMyAdmin and that's what I did. Hope that helps a little! - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -

nolan1123 Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 I installed the FCKeditor and was wondering how I use it for my item descriptions? Thanks
jhande Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I'm assuming you found the link in my previous post as to where to get the Add-on to intergrate it with osC. How to use it? It should load kind of wrapped around the product description input box and you use it like any other word processing program. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
