Upcoming products showing in new products table

Hello,

 

I have an online store with the new products table on the main page of the site. Whenever I add a new product to the catalog, it appears in the new products listing, regardless of the date expected.

 

I would like to list the upcoming products in the Coming Soon category but NOT have them appear on the new products list until AFTER they are available for sale. How can I remove these "coming soon" products from the new products listing?

 

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

And I don't want to show either new products or upcoming products at all. I just want to show all products.

 

Can someone please give pointers on this?
