multimixer Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Don't think that you are doing a favor to your self taking a demo monster template and trying to customize it a bit. Thats something that you also don't know how to do, thats why the question. What to expect when you try to install a contribution? From your other post I understand that you have problems to understand how to move your store to the root and what the difference between your computer and the hosts server is. Thats not bad and understand that you want to make things as easy as possible. Believe me, taking such a demo template is exactly the opposite than what you want. You will make your life just harder If you want to start correctly, take the download from here and start customizing step by step. In this case you can be sure that 99% of your questions have been answered already, and the remaining 1% will have a high possibility to be answered too If you think that doing this is over your abilities, then find and pay a proper developer, or template seller, in any case make sure that you will get proper support from there My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel

This has nothing to do with SSL. SSL is not placing passwords. What version is your store? You can see this in application_top.php, somewhere it sats "define the project version" or similar My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel

You got the older version of osCommerce. Did you not look what you are buying? If such a template, then at least the latest version. You need to upgrade to RC2a now. I don't know if there is a solution to add a admin password for MS2. And for sure you want other improvements made by RC2 also, not? Well, good luck in this What you can do for your safety right now, is to add .htaccess protection to your admin folder. To do this, you go to your host cpanel, and go to "password protect folders", choose your admin folder Second thing is to rename your admin folder, maybe call it "belladonna" or whatever. Again via cpanel. Then you need to go to your 2 configure.php files (includes/ and admin/includes/) and change the word "admin" to "belladonna" leaving everything else untuched My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
