amco Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 The company I work for have a shop that uses OScommerce - I'm very new to this program and it's up to me to keep it up to date. I'm not sure if I'm working with v.2 or v.3 so I'm posting this in both forums for the time being, if someone can help me work out which version I'm dealing with I'd be grateful! We have an account information form which new customers fill in before making an order. I would like to make some changes to this form but I can't work out how to access it. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
phour19 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 to find out which one you have log in to you admin and go to > Tools > Server Info. It will be right there "osCommerce 2.2-MS2" How to secure your site. A must read
cloudywool Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 If you want to add more fields to creating an account page. osc>create_account.php and osc/admin/customers.php need to be modified for sure. and I believe there should be more to do on this.
amco Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Thanks for the tip phour19 - I can now confirm I am running on version 2.2-MS2! Cloudywool - I understand the theory of what you're talking about, but I have no idea of how to go about it or even locate the files you're refering to. Can you give me some tips, or point me to a help page on the OSCommerce site?
♥mdtaylorlrim Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 You're not going to be able to do that using the admin console in OSc. Do you have ftp or command line access to the server filespace? amco Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Ah - that might well explain it! I only have admin access and this office is disorganised that I doubt I can get any other kind of access, but I'll see what I can dredge up! Thanks for your help mdtaylorlrim :)
