oscomm.1986 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Hey All, I need some help with including an image in the email body sent to all customers. I am using the "Send Email" feature under "Tools" in OScommerce. I enabled the 'Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails' to true and used html code <img src=""> and sent a test emaill to myself and what I got is just the code as plain text as it is (<img src="....">) and not the image. Ive read the previous posts but couldnt solve this. Can anybody help me reg this pleaseeee... Thanks in advance
oscomm.1986 Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 anybody help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee
rustyclockwork Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 This could be useful if anyone knows how to do this. It would be neat to have a section in admin which would allow attachments or signatures with an image.
oscomm.1986 Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 yes it would be really helpful if someone could throw some light on this. Someone please atleast tell us if this is possible or not......so that we atleast know if we're asking for a feature which is not available yet!
Ben Nevis Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I am sure it is possible to create code that will allow you to do this, the only question is whether a module already exists that does or whether you can write your own addon to do it if not. I think the Order Confirmation Email contribution would, but that only deals with the email that is automatically sent to confirm the order, not general admin-side emails. www.jyoshna.com. Currently using OsC with STS, Super Download Store, Categories Descriptons, Manufacturers Description, Individual Item Status, Infopages unlimited, Product Sort, Osplayer with flashmp3player, Product Tabs 2.1 with WebFx Tabpane and other bits and pieces including some I made myself. Many thanks to all whose contributions I have used!
MrPhil Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 It sounds like your email is being created without the proper header tags that mark it as HTML. Exactly where in osC is this email created? Possibly some emails use a different set of functions, ones that don't obey the MIME flag you sent? Since you're sending to "all customers", is this a newsletter? Or is this an order confirmation or something?

Hello Mr Phill There is an option in Oscommerce under 'Tools' called 'Send Email'.And it has an option to send email to all the customers. Its not a newsletter. Its just a promotional offer. Here is the screenshot of it: Thanks for you reply!!
Xpajun Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Try adding this addon and then add your image - you'll find the emails looking a bit better as well ;) doesn't work on the email in the above post though :( My store is currently running Phoenix 1.0.3.0 I'm currently working on 1.0.7.2 and hope to get it live before 1.0.8.0 arrives (maybe 🙄 ) I used to have a list of add-ons here but I've found that with the ones that supporters of Phoenix get any other add-ons are not really neccessary
