acstudios Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Hey guys. I am pretty new to Oscommerce and have been modifying it to suit the needs of an online quote request system with catalog. My newest issue I have ran into is the confirmation Email. I have installed a mod that allows a switch to turn off the customer notification email, but still sends through the additional address email which is fine. After installing the mod, the cart no longer tracks the orders in the admin. I am put in a position of 1 of 2 options: 1. Fix the order tracking in the admin or 2. Modify the order notification Emails to send the Email addy and telephone number in the message body (which goes to the admin and then we can contact the customer) This option is fine as the site is more of a B2B site and order tracking and such is not a necessity. I have looked through a ton of posts but haven't found a way to add these 2 fields to the confirmation Email. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! Todd

multimixer Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Unfortunately, this doesnt apply to the order confirmation emails, thats where I require it. You want to add the customers phone number and email address into the order confirmation email, right? The link I gave you describes exactly how to do this. And 2 posts below (#6) there is the description on how to get a different mail that the customer on the store owners side. acstudios Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 awesome ty so much, worked perfect!
rpmelvin Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Just a note to tell you how much I appreciate this thread, Multimixer. I did a little cutting and pasting from your code into the checkout_process.php page in our store to add the customer's phone number and email address to our order emails. It worked perfectly the first time. I know virtually nothing about PHP, but I was able to make sense of your code and copy it into the right spot in the file. Thanks very much. VERY helpful.
