Hi.

Is possible get a product NOT to show in the store at all when the "Date Available" is in the future or the stock is zero?

Not on startpage (New products for this month) and not under a category or in the box "Whats New".

Would love the help.

Thank you.

Yes, but most of them just remove the link in categories, and not on index.php (new producs for December), new_products.php (news in the left/right box). And you can still find if by entering a direct adress to the product, wich is really bad for my company.

Just out of interest why would you want to do this?

If you make it clear that the product is out of stock, the page is still there. It's still boosting your stores inventory, still being reached through search engine results, the list goes on.

There's a good chance people will arrive at your store looking for this item, see it's out of stock but still browse around your other items.

Just my thoughts though.

Well, it's a bit hard to explain. But our products will only be avaible for 2-4 weeks, and only up to X items each time. When the products deadline is reached, or the stock goes out, the product will no longer be able to buy.

First ones to buy the product gets it. And no chance to get it if you are too late.

I can live with the fact that the direct link is still there. But i do not want it in the categories, "new products for december", or in the "Whats new-box" on the left/right.

Its pretty advanced cause it will be over 3.000 products each year. It would be really nice if it were all automatic :).

The part to get it out of the shop by date is fixed throu a contrib called Events Calendar. It's just the stock-part that is the problem now. But i guess i might have to remove the "new product-feature" for now then :).
