PayPal Direct Payment module is configured but NO Buy Now button at paypal end

I have configured the PayPal Direct Payment module but when I click the "Checkout with PayPal" button, redirect to the paypal website, sign in there is no "Buy Now" button at all, only the "Continue" button is present which redirects back to the source website. I've double checked the API Certificate is really placed in the directory defined for the PayPal Direct Payment module. I've also created the API access permission at a paypal end for the defined Username. Could anybody suggest what else could be a reason of the issue? Many thanks in advance.
