contact_us.php - Required Information

I searched and looked but I'm not sure how to disable making the phone # a requirement on the contact_us.php page.

 

I think it should be optional not a requirement.

 

After all, if I was to email a store wondering when a product might be do back in stock, I sure don't think I should give them my home phone #.

The phone number is not default in the contact us page so it must be an add on?

In the top of the file you will find the code for making the error, comment it out and it will no longer be required.

If you are not sure post the file here (minus any captcha auth there may be)

Thanks again for helping.

 

I thought I had to comment out some sort of code at the top of the file besides just getting rid of the '<span class="inputRequirement">' . blah, blah, blah. but wasn't sure .

 

The code for the phone entry looked a bit funky.

Part of the code had CONTACT_PHONE while it also contained ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_TEXT.

Then the top of the file was, well, quite confussing since I added a captcha contrib (which I quess is where the phone# snuck in from).

 

Got it sorted now, thanks.

 

Commented out the code on the top and deleted the span requirement bit.
