change product list from 1 on top of the other to 2 side by side

help! I just can't figure out where to edit this in the code.

 

right now the products are listed 1 on top of the other.

but my customer wants it 2 items side by side.

 

Can anyone help me either by telling me where to find the code or even better showing me how to do it.
