Harveyr4
Hi, I'm new, and this may not be the place to post this question, If not please advise. I set up my website, and thought that my payment module with paypal/credit card was setup right. I've just had my first order and they used there credit card to pay. (not through paypal) the check out showed my paypal check out, and a credit card check out. The credit card check out is the original, I have not done anything with it. My question is: where did this persons money go, and how do I set it up to put the money into my account? The credit card module is the one that say's Credit Card (Not for Production Use). I need help. Thank you
FIMBLE
The clue is in the module name Harvey, Not for Production. There are contributions you can use to accept credit cards, i think with that one you used the numbers are emailed to you so you can use a virtual terminal, no payment will have been taken from the customer yet as the card was not processed. here is a link to some payment modules http://addons.oscommerce.com/category?search=credit+card+payment If you do not have a merchant account and a card processor to use then you should forget about taking card payments until you do. Harveyr4
Yes, Thank you very much. The credit card (not for Production) was not suppose to be there, This was a mistake on my part. I have removed that option from the check out. The important thing is nothing has been charged to his card, right? I'm also having a little trouble with the PayPal Website Payments Pro (US) Direct Payments module. I have entered my API information from PayPal, But when checking out with this it gives a config error. Says not configurated right. How do I fix this problem? Thank you again
FIMBLE
Hi No they will not have been charged for the module. The paypal Pro thing, check the settings are correct from PayPal as this is the only way i see it going wrong. Harveyr4
Thank you, I have checked with PayPal. The API information given to me is for the PayPal standard check out, not the pro check out. I have to pay a $30.00 monthly fee to have this. Do you know of any cheaper top payment processor for me to use? That is a pretty good company to use. Thanks

Thanks It depends on your turnover really against the cost, i think it makes the site more professional looking + you do not have PCI concerns to worry about as you would with Credit Card processing. If you consider my bank who want £20 per month for the pleasure of a merchant account, then i need to pay an online processor such as Protx to take my payment this also costs £20 thats £40 together, PayPal is £20 per month, a no brainer for me! SO PaylPal when you research it is actually cheaper. But there is no harm in using the PayPal standard or IPN for now.
