Confirmation emails

Hi - I'm almost ready to go with my OSC store. I just did a test order and didn't get a notification email either as a customer or the seller. Thing is I'm not sure at which point the emails are generated. I thought they would be sent as soon as you hit "confirm order" - is this correct?

 

I'm using paypal standard and have not gone all the way through the payment process. When I tested pre-paypal I'm sure I got the confirmation emails through.

Hi

After payment at PayPal were you redirected back to your store?

This is the point the email gets send and the order updated in the dbase

Thanks Fimble - I've had to change my email address to one pointing to the domain I'm using to host OSC. I really wanted it to point to a different address but it just wouldn't work.

 

I'm now trying to add "Pending Order Email" contribution so that I get an email at the confirmation page, before the customer goes to the payment page. This would be really useful if I could get it to work!

 

I'll put this in another post but if any one has used this contribution let me know!
