Bit of help please

What i want to do is remove a Category that is on the list (left hand side), And have the link in a nav bar.

I have tryed a number of the add ons but they all lock the cat so it dont have the sub cats and the products dont show.

 

So i would like to know if there is a code that removes it from the left, just a small line ??

Im thinking somthing like

 

if ($current_category_id != 21) or if (tep_not_null($cPath21) {

 

But i dont know what else to add or where to add it maybe (includes/boxes/categories.php )?? Any help ?
