Hi all,

I have trawled the net looking for the right e-commerce solution for me to utilise and i'm really impressed with OS. i need to know if i can use this software if i have already bulit a site in Dw (dreamweaver) and want to link one of the pages into this e-c solution, however can you advise if this will work? I have used opensourced software before for building websites (Mod-x)

if so what download should i use?

Thanks in advance in you can help

Assuming the rest of the content of your site is separate from the store, you can just put it in a sub-directory of your domain. For example: yourdomain.com/catalog

As to which version you should use, I'm not really sure which is best. If you want to use add-ons which can enhance the functionality of your site, I'd recommend using osC 2.2. The 3.0 version is still in alpha so not very many mods have been released for it yet. But if you happy with osC out of the box you could try 3.0. I believe 3.0 also has better css support which might make it easier to match the appearance of your site.

One great tool is the STS template package. You can take your existing design and basically plug it into the OSC structure. It requires some html/php skill, but I would say an intermediate user should have an easy time figuring it out. Go check out the add-ons and forums for STS help and documentation.
