bazzeray Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Hi everyone, I have a problem with my shop which is at http://www.cjstoybox.co.uk/shop. The following message appears: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/bazplate/public_html/cjstoybox.co.uk/shop/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. I have been into my ftp software (cuteFTP) and edited the permissions on the file down to 0 but the message still comes up on the shop and resets itself back to 644. Can anybody help me with this please? Thanks in advance for any help! :) Baz

bazzeray Posted November 13, 2009 Author Posted November 13, 2009 Does your host allow you to change file permissions using a control panel? I have CPanel with my hosting yes. Would you suggest using the file manager through there to change file permissions?
tigergirl Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I have CPanel with my hosting yes. Would you suggest using the file manager through there to change file permissions? Yes, use the cpanel file manager to change permissions on the shop/includes/configure.php file. could be 444 or 644 depends on server. Please see other posts about deleting the oscommerce file manager if you haven't already done so. I'm feeling lucky today......maybe someone will answer my post! I do try and answer a simple post when I can just to give something back. ------------------------------------------------ PM me? - I'm not for hire
bazzeray Posted November 14, 2009 Author Posted November 14, 2009 Thank you very much everyone! All changed now and the warning message has gone :) I changed it to 555 and all seems to work fine :)
