Sending "Product Notification" messages to customers

I've searched everywhere in the Admin Panel looking for a way to tell which customers requested notifications for what products. NOTHING, can only see if a customer signed up for Newsletters.

 

I tried registering for a product notification, can't find it and never get notified. Ok, so it's not automatic!

 

So I thought maybe I messed something up as usual and Googled for answers.

 

I can't believe what I found.

 

Getting to the point:

 

Guess I need contribution(s) such as -

 

Stats Products Notifications

 

and/or

 

Automatic Customer Stock Update Notification

 

I'd hate to send out a newsletter everytime the stock status or price changes for just a couple of products. I have hundreds and some change every couple of weeks.

 

Am I looking in the right direction?

Hey Steve,

 

After a long search and investigation, it seems an Add-on (contribution) is the only solution.

 

I have installed the Stats Products Notifications contrib and it works great for letting me see what product(s) have been tagged for notification and by whom.

 

So far so good, all I do is create a quick message and email it off.

 

I haven't tried the other automated contribution. My list of product notifications aren't that large yet.
