Getting stuff off of the sign-up page

I have no reason to want to know my customers' gender, company name, suburb, fax number, and I have no intention of sending out a newsletter. How do I get all that crap off of create_account.php? If I go in there putting up comment slashes, it looks like I'll be taking elements out of a web of if-then statements. Is there any easy way to do this?

Some of the information can be changed in the admin section, the other information can be found in the create_account.php file where you can comment out the parts you don't want. You can also change the text in the catalog>includes>english>create_account.php file to something you MAY want to ask.
