Problem with uploading images

Hi

 

I have 2 problems (that I know of!)

 

Some of my images are simply not uploading. One image in particular (which I optimized: dimensions: 343x900. 21.9KB). I choose the file in the admin when creating the new product. I choose the file to upload. I click on preview and where the image should be all I see is the generic logo for a missing image.

 

The second problen I'm having is that some of my successfully uploaded images don't have the correct dimensions as thumbnails. I have messed around with configuration>images but doesn't seem to help. Look at the thumbnails under "new products for november" the first few thumbnails are ok but the second and third rows are dimensionally way off: http://taxisupplies.ie/catalog/
