Guest Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Hello all, When we first got our shop running at the beginning of the year, we escalated up google rankings well. For some reason though, past few months have seen our site gradually dissapear from google to the extent that even seaching directly with our website name barely brings up a result for our site, let alone any products we have. site is www.audiomotiv.co.uk Can anyone think of why there has been such a drastic reduction in google results ? We update new products to the site and have added blogs etc, but they never seem to be found! Is there a way of stopping the site being found by google that has been triggered from the Control Panel? Or would the Header SEO and Sitemap SEO modules affect the results so drastically, which were installed around the time everything started dissapearing in searchs ? Any help would be much appreciated as its completly destroyed any trade to the site! :-( :-( Cheers RIck
K3D Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 You have been hit by some malicious redirect script.. see the following google result: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=site:audiomotiv.co.uk&start=160&sa=N
Guest Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Oh Crap! How would this have happened ?:(:( More importantly, how do I resolve it??:(
K3D Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I am guessing it is similar to this hack http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/344272-did-someone-hack-my-site-eval-base64-decode/
Guest Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 thanks for the help:-) At least I Know what the problem is lol Having checked through the OSC forum, ive got rid of file manager, which is recommended. So from here, I presume I have to go through each php file individually and delete the offending line of code to get rid of this problem?
Xpajun Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Unless you have a back up of your site - don't forget to decode the script as well as it will tell you where hidden files are Good Luck My store is currently running Phoenix 1.0.3.0 I'm currently working on 1.0.7.2 and hope to get it live before 1.0.8.0 arrives (maybe 🙄 ) I used to have a list of add-ons here but I've found that with the ones that supporters of Phoenix get any other add-ons are not really neccessary
