digi
Hello, I am very confused about this Milestone (2.2MS1) is, is this a new version overtaking version 2.2CVS?? is everyone going to be downloading 2.2MS1 instead of 2.2cvs from now on? also what does CVS stand for? and what does Milestone stand for? Digi *Outlined in chalk everone looks the same* Currently useing OSC 2.2 MS1 running on Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_jk/1.2.0 mod_perl/1.26 PHP/4.3.3 FrontPage/5.0.2 mod_ssl/2.8.12 OpenSSL/0.9.6b
toolcrazy
Milestone 1 is what Harold has named the version of OSC and just go to google.com and search for CVS and you'll get your answer. What MS1 is a step in the final version of OSC. Kinda a stop point so they can focus on bugs and other issues. The daily CVS's are what they were putting out as they developed MS1. I don't know if they are going to continue the daily CVS's or not, but I hope not. Oh, and MS1 is still 2.2cvs, it is just a public release not just a devopment version. toolcrazy
Milestone releases show the progress of finalizing the current development version by containing the work assigned on the Workboard list. Milestone releases are able to increase the quality of the finalized current development version by allowing the community to report bugs on a frozen release which help project developers track the problem down. This is from the OSC site. Steve -------------------------

I beieve you will still be abel to download a copy oif the dailt snap shot of OSC from this site they can not really "stop" people from getting the CVS version as you can get that from source forge even if they stopped placing it on the web site.
