Changing category mainpage

Hi,

 

I just installed a mod that allows you to add featured products. Its all working fine but it adds the featured products box to the homepage, category pages and product pages when i just want it to appear on my homepage:

 

Here's the homepage:

and then one of the category pages where i dont want it to appear.

Does anyone know how to chenge what appears on the category pages and product pages? Is it done from index.php? I can seem to find what i should be editing.
