MLu Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Due to a hacker attack I have decided that now I need to upgrade from the old MS2.2 to a version running PHP5 with Register globals off. However, as I have a lot of modifications I wonder if it would be possible to 1) modify my current MS2.2 sites to run on PHP5 / Register globals off, and then 2) in the next step upgrade to RC2. As I assume the biggest security gain is to get register globals off, can anyone please advise on how to proceed? Are there any problems/pitfalls in doing a 1) upgrade first? Can I expect to loose functionality and/or in general get problems with current add-ons when doing upgrade 2)? Thanks!
