Guest Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Hey, About a year ago I setup an OScommerce site for a friend of mine, Its been running fine until recently when my friend decided to change his password to access the administration panel of the site, which after not using for several days he promptly has forgotten. Ive attempted to go into the Database and psyical change it in there, however even though the admin account I had previously setup is there, when i change the password it still does not allow me to login. I'm quite stumped and am unsure what to do. Can anybody help me out?
Guest Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Don't worry. I have fixed the problem! Sorry about the double post, but here is the solution for anyone in the future who may have this problem. After accessing the database, find the administration field and open it, if you browse you will find your old admin account, however the password will be encrypted so you wont beable to read it. edit this entry and change the password to '1060bdf4e47bc8b4ab3fb0cfea9ef70b:77' without the single quotes. This will change your password to "admin". From there you simply need to logon and change the password from within the administration panel to your newly desired one.
