smoreton Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Hi _ I'm new to OS comm and this forum and would appreciate some help. I have a number of items each with different shipping costs i.e Drill £39.99 + £6.75 shipping Drill2 £39.99 + £4.00 shipping Screwdriver £1.95 + £1.00 shipping etc etc Can anyone tell me how I set up my shop to incorporate this? I have looked but find it all very confusing! Also, is it possible to import everything from my ebay shop (which has correct postage for each item) into os comm? Many thanks for any help you can give.
smoreton Posted November 3, 2009 Author Posted November 3, 2009 Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks

Rubin Remus Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Hi there, I noticed nobody had answered, so I'll give you some information, as limited as it may be! As far as I know there's not a method to import anything from eBay, but I may be wrong. I'm assuming that the difference in shipping costs is either related to weight or value, there are modules out there that can help you with this. If you look under the shipping module contributions, you should be able to find what you're after, and most give very comprehensive instructions. I'm sorry that I can't be much more use than this, but hopefully it'll be of some use to you. All the best, RR
burt Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 A way (not the best way, but it's easy to do): Drill £39.99 + £6.75 shipping Drill2 £39.99 + £4.00 shipping Screwdriver £1.95 + £1.00 shipping etc etc Give the drill a weight of 6.75 units Give the drill2 a weight of 4 Give teh screwdriver a weight of 1 Now do shipping by weight, and give each weight unit a cost of £1.

Many thanks for any help you can give. There probably is but it will depend on getting the csv from eBay - I know there is a program for linking eBay sales to an osCommerce store but I reckon that it's too expensive unless you have a large turnover and high prices  I do know the program is open source though... My store is currently running Phoenix 1.0.3.0 I'm currently working on 1.0.7.2 and hope to get it live before 1.0.8.0 arrives (maybe 🙄 ) I used to have a list of add-ons here but I've found that with the ones that supporters of Phoenix get any other add-ons are not really neccessary

Hi, Ive tried doing this but my shopping cart always shows the table rate as £0.00
Xpajun Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 If you go to admin>>configuration>>shipping/packaging and set the follow like so: Enter the Maximum Package Weight you will ship 25000 (this is normally the max you ship in kilos or pounds) Package Tare weight. 0 Larger packages - percentage increase. 0 My store is currently running Phoenix 1.0.3.0 I'm currently working on 1.0.7.2 and hope to get it live before 1.0.8.0 arrives (maybe 🙄 ) I used to have a list of add-ons here but I've found that with the ones that supporters of Phoenix get any other add-ons are not really neccessary
