how can you include sign (&, /, -) in the search?

Hi,

 

I have this problem in my search. When I have certain products that have these sign (&, /, -), it won't display the search result. For example, apple & orange, cr-v, 1/2TON.....when i have products like that, the search result won't display. Can someone help me out? Thanks
