LondonTown Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 What's New Scrolling Box I just installed, well basically install instructions say it's a "simple overwrite" What have I done wrong? please read procedure I took to install but somehow not working :S Anyways, I go to /includes/boxes & Then ftp transfer the whats_new.php (What's new scrolling box PHP File) to overwrite the current static whats_new.php So after I overwrite new whats_new.php the scrolling whats new box NEVER APPEARED & Now I have the added bonus off the original static whats new box not even on page now? What have I done wrong, arghhh!! sometimes oscommerce gets me really down :(
web-project Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 What have I done wrong, arghhh!! sometimes oscommerce gets me really down it's not oscommerce let you down, it's you letting your self down, as every where it's working without any issues! you need read the manual how to install the module, as I used several times the same manual and it's 100% working with one only bug which everyone can see in IE! Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

Where's the manual? If you mean the readme, already read as I said earlier because it says that it's just a simple overwrite contribution and done, couldn't be any more simpler. What bugs me most is, I've installed loads of things without no problem, seo url friendly, xml, header tag seo, google checkout, fwr auction... you get the idea, alot of things, but it gets me down & annoyed that in the readme it's supposed to be a simple overwrite and installed but now my shops looking odd without whats new box...
