For a start your banner is too wide, you should make it the same width as your shop so it won't stretch it. There are a number of things that can be done to make it look more professional but it all depends on what you want in terms of design. As for making it look good at all resolutions, this thread has good advice about it. ~ Don't mistake my kindness for weakness ~

This is basically a plain install of osC with the carousel and a header added. Try looking at the documentation.pdf(in the osC folder you downloaded) or the osC knowledge base. It doesn't take much to change the color and look of osC. Read the "How Do I" section here in the forums. Good Luck
