Hey Guys.

I want to say thanks in advance for any help you shed on this topic. osCommerce has been great for me so far and I've only been using it for 3 days now. You can view the current progress of my store here if you'd like:

In my business I will have a specific product that can fit many different car models, from many different manufacturers. What i'm trying to accomplish is as follows:

A) To be able to select car make and model and have all products that fit that car specifically appear. An example of this can be seen on this website, where you can select your specific vehicle and have all applicable manufacturers appear with only products that will fit the vehicle contained:

http://shop.tougefactory.com/

B) To be able to select a product and then specify (like a normal attribute) which make of car it is for, which brings up a secondary drop down list containing the models of that first manufacturer (the first attribute). Each of which has its own set price.

If i cannot do this, I'm basically forced to make a new product for each model of car, even if it is essentially the same product. For example:

Brake pads that would fit a Nissan 350z, 240sx, GT-R, but also a Honda S2000, NSX, and 95-00 Integra.

The first drop down would say Nissan / Honda. If you pick Nissan the next box says 350z, 240sx, GT-R etc, and updates the price accordingly.

Once that is accomplished having a list of all products for a certain model should be no problem, it would just be a list of everything that has that model as an attribute attached to it!

I hope someone has already charted these waters, because I don't have the coding or webdesign experience to be able to figure it out! Thanks so much guys,

I needed the same thing... I had stencil template options that the customer would choose a size from each of the 7 available templates or choose NOT to get a certain template.

so I had to get the options table set up backwards... if you normally pick the size of a shirt and then the color, set up all the colors as main options and each color/size as a value

i know it is sort of tedious and cumbersome... but well worth the results.

Hope this helps.
