Broken store when chenging index.php

I tried to change the default text on the index page and I am gettting this error:

 

Fatal error: Call to a member function add_current_page() on a non-object in /home/vehicle7/public_html/store/includes/application_top.php on line 312

 

I restored the old index.php and the probelm has not gone a way. I don't understand what I did to corrupt another file. The file timestamps seem like they are still original files (eg. dated 2008 and 2007).

 

Any Help would be appreciated.
