Home page help

Guys,

We are entering items into our catalog and they are showing up on the home page(we currently have it set up to display 12 items) we need to be able to dictate what show up on the home page, is there a way to do that. What make this current setup wore is that some items have more than one category and when we enter them into more than one category they show up on the home page duplicated.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

There are a couple of featured products mods in the add ons section. They replace the new products module in the stock install.
