Quickfind and Advanced Search

Our database currently has over 70,000 records in it, and our customers are finding it slow, and sometimes difficult to find what they are looking for.

 

As such I would like to modify the Quickfind box and the advanced search box, but an not sure of what to change etc.

 

For the quickfind box, I would like to user to be able to select from "Keyword, ISBN, Author, Title" and then have the submit do the sql query based on whatever the user has selected with keyword being the default option.

 

For the advanced search we would want to replace Price from to, and Date from to with

 

Keywords

ISBN

Title

Author

Publisher

 

Can anyone help me achieve this, or this there add-on available that will help me achieve this.

 

I have searched the forums and the add-ons and cannot seem to find anything to help.
