CWPSI Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Hi, I just noticed when trying to set up Pay Pal that there is no field to enter what state your in. Additionally, even when I manually edit the database to include a state (there is a field for it in the DB), Pay Pal gives this error: "Shipping Address State Empty - The field Shipping Address State is required (10729)" I'm completely stuck, for whatever reason osCommerce doesn't seem to think states exist, and I cant find a way to convince it otherwise. :-\
CWPSI Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 Also, this might be helpful to see what I mean: http://clearwaterpsi.com/shop feel free to try to register an account - you can see from the register page that there is no place to enter your state. If you actually register and try to buy something it gives the error I listed.

I can't register, get this error: [color="#000000"][b]1054 - Unknown column 'customers_paypal_ec' in 'field list' select customers_id as id, customers_paypal_ec as ec from customers where customers_email_address = '[email protected]' [TEP STOP] Most likely you have missed a step when installing the paypal add on. Go back and make sure you didn't miss something.
CWPSI Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 I just found a setting in the configuration table that turned on the display of states, however this option is not visible from the admin area (as apparently is the case with a few other options). I'm going to try a fresh install and see if I can get this sorted out.

I can do everything fine up to the order process, where I cannot choose a payment method (as if one is not installed). Check to make sure you have enabled your payment method in the admin panel. Also change the permission settings on your configure.php file.
CWPSI Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 Thats probably because I already did the fresh install, I've re-enabled paypal but I'm still having issues (paypal doesnt seem to be working, not sure whats up).
