Display boxes

I have probably been looking in the worng areas, but is there anyway of not displaying a box whrn it is not in use?

 

What i mean is, i have the scrolling specials in at the top of the right column, but when there are no special products

to display, then there is just a blank box, so i would if possible, like to either display another box, or just not

display anything at all.

 

I have figured out the priciples of what needs to be done, similar to the SSL and NONSSL, but i dont know what code is needed

to display alternative boxes or nothing at all.

my coding is not great but, basically from what you have said, you want the specials box to display only when you have products on special.

 

You need to create a switch of some kind which says specials products available disply them if not then dont.

 

The exact code may be dependant on what modules you have installed on your system.
