Installing OS Commerce on a Windows Server

I'm very new to this website and web shops business and I'm having loads of problems installing osCommerce on a Windows server. Most of them are related to the CHMOD command and the account permissions.

The most rescent problem that I've come across is when trying to access the administration aread, I've navigated to "/catalog/admin/" and get the following message:

Warning: require(includes/database_tables.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\sarahthursfield.com\httpdocs\test\catalog\admin\includes\application_top.php on line 49

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/database_tables.php' (include_path='.;./includes;./pear') in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\sarahthursfield.com\httpdocs\test\catalog\admin\includes\application_top.php on line 49

Has anyone encountered this error before, or do I need to start hacking about in the php files?

Many thanks

Colin

your error says u have missing files, use your ftp to check you local copy against your server one, & upload any that are missing.

PS You would be much better running osC on a Linux server, can you upgrade? wink.gif

I'm well aware that I'd be better off on a Linux server, but unfortunatel that's not an option right now, unless I put the webshop on a different host, which isn't a great idea either. Regardless, I may try that to see if I can get it set-up more easily, it may be worth the issues for the reduction in heartache.

I thought that I'd check for those files being present, but I'll double check when I can get back on the server and make sure.

Thanks

Colin
