Removing Product Count Beside Categories on Index Page

I am sure this has been answered somewhere but I have searched and searched and cannot find, so I apologize if this is a double post.

I need to know how to remove the product count that is shown beside the categories on the index.php page?

It just looks too cluttered with the template I have installed.

In the admin panel under Configuration > My Store

 

There is an option towards the bottom, show category count. Set it to false.
