Two brief questions on this....

1. I am trying to chmod to 444 but it keeps somehow going back to 644 and I have the warning on my store?

2. This is installed in a sub-folder to which I have no domain attached - when tested I plan to point a domain at it - presumably I can change the domain in the configure.php when the time comes?

1. Try changing the permissions using your isp's control panel.

Sometimes ftp clients are not able to change permissions.

2. Yes
