maorb Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Hi there, I'm very newbie at osCommerce, never used it before. There is a client that already has an osCommerce site, that want to have one of his categories not to show it as a product list, i.e - not having the 'price' and 'buy now' columns in the category listing and let the product name be wider, and not have the price and buy now on a single product item. Is there a way to apply custom category for one category, and custom single page for items of that category? I'd be happy for some directions/instructions on that. This is link to the exhibition page on the site, that should be modified as described http://www.bauhaus-center.com/shop/index.php?cPath=48 As you can see, all items there are marked with a price of 0$, which is kind of ridiculous. Another question is about articles. Suppose he wants to add articles module to his site, is that possible? Thanks a lot, Maor
burtonsnow8 Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Any ideas for me on the subject? there is an osc contribution that does this, but i'm not sure if it will give you the option to only include certain categories. STS template package allows you to use multiple different templates for every page, so maybe that is something to look at.

Anyone has some information about the STS that was suggested here? Where can I download it and how to use it? Isn't there a buikt in way in osCommerce to have different templates for different categories/pages?

Try downloading the STSv4.5.8 contribution and take a look through the STS User Manual as it explains a lot. If you go to the contributions download page, you will see that the Simple Template System is the "Most Downloaded Today" in the middle of the page and you can easily use this link to locate it. Since I want to take the basis of how all other categories are being displayed, and change only small things in displaying one of the categories, where can I find the template file that website currently uses? (it's an osCommerce website) - finding it will be very helpful to build on it some changes from the current used template. Thanks
