Anyone having problems with 2Checkout?

I know there are threads about this, but from other boards 2Checkout seems to be having some major problems - going back 3 months.

I was going to sign up with them because I'm a web hoster but it seems the recent problems are way out of hand. No access to funds, account locked out, no response from 2Checkout, etc.

I sent out emails to merchant account companies hoping to get a discount rate for bulk account signups - so i'll update later.

Anyway, I'd love to hear your comments on 3rd party processors like 2Checkout.

Thanks.

Yup that seems to be pretty standard 2checkout behavior...

Unfortunate that there isn't a site like 2checkout that has their act. together...5% of the 10mill they've processed this year is a big chunk of change! You'd think other sites would step up with a competitive tool...

I need to read the rules more often...

  • 6 months later...

I use 2checkout, and they are not paying on time (which is every 14 days), They are sitting with $1000 of mine, for which the first sale occurred a month back. They do not respond to email and trouble tickets, they do not publish their phone number, which I found by playing detective, When u phone them, they are very cocky, they told me it was an innocent system mistake and I will get paid in the next cycle, which means I waited 90 days for the money from the first sale. O yes, and "Andy" put the phone down in the middle of our conversation.

I'm seeing warning lights...

CAn anybody recommend another processor where u do not need a merchant account?

All 3rd party payment processors are going to give you problems.

It is *very* simple and *very* easy to get your own merchant account/gateway, and it is *much* less expensive than using 2checkout.

Why would you want to use a third party?
