westmidsguy Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (13) in /home/sc/public_html/oscommerce/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server damn all i did was configure paypal through oscommerce admin now i cant even get in admin panel as its displaying this same error.... whats wrong
web-project Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 can be the following: 1) mysql settings in configure.php file incorrect or 2) the mysql server is not properly connected via php language, the issue is on the server, ask your service provider to fix issue. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.
