aarsenca Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I'm a beginner with osC. I installed the current version (2.2rc2a) with wamp on a Windows XP PC, so I'm still testing on a localhost. I added the following contributions: French language, Paypal Pro and Canada Post Shipping (with labels). I have no problem adding categories and products to the catalog. Other than an email issue, creating new customers works fine. My big issue at the moment is logging in as an existing customer. I confirmed in the customers_info table that the program updates the last logon data, so it does find the customer account in the database. But then it exits to the index.php page :'( Without logging as an existing customer (see above), I add an item to my cart, recall the cart and it is empty :( What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.
aarsenca Posted October 22, 2009 Author Posted October 22, 2009 Adding to my first post... This issue might be related to the first one. I can add categories and products on the admin side. I can successfully search for a product. However, when I click on a product category as a customer, I immediately exit to the index.php page :(
aarsenca Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Update... I temporarily solved my problems by doing a full reinstall, including wamp. This second time around, I have a better feeling for things to watch for, so I'm pretty sure this second install will be a good thing. I have not yet installed any contribution. I'm still very much at the bottom of the learning curve but I'm slowly moving up.
