Ikofai Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Hello :) For my next web project I've decided to give osCommerce a try. I've gotten past the compatibility issues with PHP 5 but now I have another unique issue. When I try to register a customer, I always get that the email address is not valid (when they are in fact valid). I've tried using sendmail and smtp. I've also tried turning DNS verification on and off, multiple times. I still get nothing. I've also made sure I have the tld.txt (read it was missing in some cases). I dunno what else to do, short of removing the check (which I don't want to do). On a side note, I noticed one of my accounts did actually go through (and I can log in with it) when I was looking at the database. I did receive the "email not valid" message with this account and for some reason I cannot duplicate the scenario. Some other information: - Windows Vista - PHP 5.3.0 - Currently running locally, is this the reason it is failing? I'd love to get this issue resolved as this is going to be a live site. I don't want some funky workaround that is going to break stuff later :P Thanks in advance, Ikofai
web-project Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 - Currently running locally, is this the reason it is failing? have you installed on your Windows Vista sendmail or smtp? try on the normal linux box instead of your Windows Vista. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
